AN EXPERIENCED VOCAL TUTOR....

I have extensive experience of teaching voice in a number of different institutes, from working as a peripatetic singing teacher for
Kirklees Music School, to teaching group and school singing in primary schools, to leading music projects for ‘gifted and talented’
children in secondary schools in Leeds. Other work includes helping to run a summer school for children with autism in my capacity as music specialist, leading vocal workshops and aiding recording sessions in Melrose Yard Studios, York. I have vast experience in one to one teaching, as a Musical Theatre teacher in Studios La Pointe, Garforth and working freelance in the, Leeds and Bradford areas. I am regularly called upon to deputise in many teaching fields including the Hanson School in Bradford, Stagecoach and the West Yorkshire Vocal Academy.

others to help develop their potential.’

Having a keen interest in voice research, I worked for 18 months with a top voice consultant based in Manchester and completed
a 15,000 word dissertation on the voice which will hopefully be furthered into a publishable piece.

I am a member of the British Voice Association and Voice Care Network UK, regularly attending workshops and training days across the country.

PRACTICAL STUFF

I work in the Hebden Bridge/Todmorden area, with
my base at the Dawn Chapman School of Dance,
Lydgate, Todmorden.
